Katrina Swinehart crowned the 2007-08 Lamb & Wool Queen at the Ohio State Fair
The 2007-2008 Ohio Lamb and Wool Queen is Katrina Ann Swinehart. Katrina is the 18 year old daughter of Greg and April Swinehart of Lancaster, Ohio in Fairfield County. She is a 10 year 4-H member of the Thurston Future Farmers and Stitch N Chefs 4-H Clubs in Fairfield County, who has exhibited sheep at the Fairfield County Fair for six years and participated in Guys and Gal Sheep Leads for many years as well.
A four year FFA member of the Fairfield Union FFA Chapter, Katrina has earned her State Farmer Degree and is a candidate for the American Farmer Degree in 2009. In addition, Katrina has received local and state recognition for her activities in the lamb and wool industry through 4-H and FFA. Katrina also served as the 2006-2007 Fairfield County Lamb and Wool Queen and the 2005 Fairfield County Junior Fair Queen.
This young lady lives on a small sheep farm outside of Lancaster where they raise market lambs for the county fair as well as maintain a commercial breeding flock. Katrina is a graduate of Fairfield Union High School in 2007 and will continue her education this fall at The Ohio State University majoring in Food Science and Human Nutrition. In addition, Katrina is very excited about all the opportunities to travel around the great state of Ohio, and would be more than happy to come to your sheep events.
