MARKETING STRATEGY PROGRAM FOR LAMB PRODUCERS

The Ohio Heartland Sheep Improvement Association is sponsoring the above program. Mr. Rick Reynolds, Facilities Manager, at United Producers in Mt. Vernon will be conducting the program talking about marketing strategies and demonstrating finish on lambs headed to market. He has worked extensively with the Morris’s in these areas over the years. This farm specializes in commercial crossbred ewes for hothouse lamb production. By using lambs on the farm, Reynolds will show how and what he looks for in a finished lamb for market. Since markets can vary greatly in weights/classifications and in what the buyers and processors want this program will be an excellent opportunity to have those marketing questions answered. Members and non-members of Ohio Heartland Sheep Improvement Association are welcome to attend the demonstration.

There is no charge to attend. Attendees are asked to wear clean clothing and footwear to the farm.
